The full story
From October 2027, Sinne will spend half a year sailing with School at Sea on the tall ship Thalassa: 12,000 nautical miles from Harlingen via Tenerife and the Caribbean to Cuba, Bermuda and the Azores and back again. That takes €32,000 in funding.
The website tells the story and turns the trip into something people can join in on. You donate through GoFundMe or sponsor sea miles, a clock counts down to departure and a bar shows how much has been raised so far. That amount comes in automatically from GoFundMe.
On the journey page a globe spins with the route on it. A small ship sails along it, and when you click a port, it sails there. The site can be read in Dutch and English, and uses no cookies or tracking.
