StandDesign OS
One system for stand builder Buckdesign. Every department sees its own planning, and clients view and approve their 3D design in a space of their own.

The full story
Buckdesign builds trade-fair stands and showrooms. During my internship I'm building StandDesign OS for them. I started by talking with the people who will use it. That showed where things got stuck: planning was drawn by hand, 3D designs and approvals went back and forth by email, and the first trial version wasn't secure enough to really use.
As soon as a project is sold, the system puts every department's standard tasks into the planning automatically, counted back from the day the stand leaves the building. Everyone gets their own screen: project management, the planner, design and engineering, and the warehouse, which works from a checklist on the phone. Clients see their 3D design and drawings in their own space, and give feedback or their approval there.
Everyone only sees what belongs to their role, so a client only ever sees the information meant for clients. I'm building it in steps, in the order Buckdesign chose. The first fourteen of the 31 steps are done. Before any change goes in, hundreds of automatic tests check that everything still works, on a computer and on a phone.
