The full story
Panora grew out of my love for hiking and photography. You search for a place or click the map and get a score from 0 to 100 for every sunrise and sunset of the next seven days, with the time, the direction to face and the reason behind the score.
The score looks at what makes a sunset beautiful: high clouds lit up from below, a clear line to the sun, little low cloud and no rain. The weather comes from several weather models at once, and when they disagree, you can see it.
Panora also finds the peaks, viewpoints and hiking trails nearby, scores each one and tells you what time to be in place. With an account you plan your hikes for the week and see which day brings the best light.
